WHO IS PHAROS + THE OWNERS?

Pharos Athletic Club is a hybrid facility for those that want it all without compromise. Named after and inspired by the worlds first lighthouse, we exist to inspire action, foster community and be the best part of your day.
Owners Emylee + Pieter Vodden and Katherine Haker set out to build the best fitness experience and we opened in Echo Park in 2017 and Idyllwild in 2023. With over a decade in the fitness industry training some of the top celebrities for movies + getting pro athletes back into top shape post injury, Pieter + Emylee have a big vision to take every great fitness + recovery practice, put it under one roof and create a new standard of excellence for the industry.

WILL IT STAY A CROSSFIT-AFFILIATED GYM?

Yes, we will continue to offer CrossFit and stay affiliated! We will also offer other programs based on what you want and need to continually grow and thrive.

WILL THE PROGRAMMING CHANGE?

We will continue to provide fun yet challenging programming and always welcome feedback about your specific goals as we evolve the programming over time.

WILL THE NEXT LEVEL STAFF STAY?

Yes! All Next Level staff will be offered the opportunity to join the Pharos team and we are excited to work with this talented team during this transition.

WILL THE SPACE CHANGE?

Yes, but for the better! We are investing into additional equipment and layout changes to maximize the space for all and we welcome suggestions of what would make this space even better.

WHY ARE RATES INCREASING?

To ensure the longterm success and survival of the business, we cannot continue to offer discounted rates, but promise to add value in the form of classes, programs, equipment, services and facility upgrades. Pharos is proud to offer a high standard of excellence and compensation packages for our staff and appreciate your understanding of our intention to sustain a community that can thrive for years to come. Starting August 1st, for new members memberships will go up to $225/month. If you sign up in the month of July, you will be grandfathered in at your rate through the end of the 2023 year.
